About Our Client

Our client is a well-established commercial general contractor with a strong reputation across Florida for delivering high-quality projects and fostering long-term client relationships. With a robust backlog and continued growth throughout the Tampa market, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead key preconstruction initiatives and support future expansion.

Job Description

• Lead estimating efforts on large-scale commercial construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates
• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and hard bid estimates
• Manage quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and bid evaluations
• Develop and maintain subcontractor and supplier relationships
• Lead bid strategy meetings and value engineering discussions
• Collaborate with project management and operations teams during project handoff
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
• Mentor junior estimators and support team development
• Present estimates and recommendations to senior leadership and clients

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have:

• Experience with preparing cost estimates in the construction sector.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, such as blueprints and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of construction market trends and costs in Philadelphia.

What's on Offer

• Competitive salary ranging from $125,000 to $175,000 annually.
• 7+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction
• Proven track record estimating projects ranging from $10M-$100M+
• Experience across commercial sectors including healthcare, education, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and current market pricing
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar platforms
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
