The planner will create/define schedules and procure resources (manpower, material, equipment, tools, and supervision) for improved resource utilization and equipment reliability and maintains equipment information and maintenance history. Determine cost of maintenance tasks and obtain approval needed for execution of maintenance work. Job duties displayed below are not all-inclusive, site-specific responsibilities may be assignedExpected Salary: $120,000 - $154,000Click here for CITGO benefit packageApplication deadline is August 9, 2026Minimum QualificationsTypical candidate has 6 years of experience in a craft, industrial maintenance or refining environment or a combination of education and related work experience Bachelor’s degree in related technical field, plus 2 years of refinery maintenance experience, orAssociate degree in related technical field, plus 4 years of refinery maintenance experience, orHigh School diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of related maintenance experience, in lieu of degreeProficient in Microsoft OfficeProficient in the use and understanding of a computerized maintenance management system. (CMMS)Existing knowledge of, or capability to learn current planning software.Working knowledge of various craft disciplines and tools.Understanding the impact of Procurement, Scheduling, and Field Execution processes.Valid Driver's LicenseAbility to obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC)Job DutiesDevelop job plans that consist of detailed tasks and cost estimates for maintenance work (corrective, preventive, predictive, inspection requirements, short outage/unit shutdown, etc.) including number and type of crafts, man-hour estimates, materials, special tools/equipment, specialty contractors, and transportation equipment. Ensure adherence to safety procedures and proper PPE.Submit executable work for weekly and daily scheduling. This includes working with requesting departments to review backlog and identify the actual work priorities and scheduling the work to meet those prioritiesGenerate requisitions and bid requests for special tools, materials, and specialty contractor services required to support the work plan and field execution.Assure cost effective and expeditious completion of maintenance work with refinery leadership.Assure proper closure of Work Orders/Notifications including documenting, initiating any follow-up Work Orders (particularly Preventive Maintenance/Predictive Maintenance work orders), and review plan vs. actual results.Support development of the Yearly Maintenance Spending Budget (Routine, Turnaround, Major Maintenance Projects and Programs).Create & maintain equipment history, bills of materials, and task lists within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP.Maintain and manage the backlog of work to be planned and work that is executable and review these with the requesting departments on a regular basis to prioritize work.Job duties displayed above are not all-inclusive, site-specific responsibilities may be assigned.Job duties displayed above are not all-inclusive, site-specific responsibilities may be assigned.
