Muy Salsa Hospitality is looking for a General Manager to join the team! We’re a growing Mexican restaurant group based in Los Angeles.

The General Manager is a full-time, in-person position in Los Angeles. We are seeking a leader who is hospitality-centric and results-driven. This position will initially oversee service operations at a single location. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, high-volume food and beverage environments, leads with confidence and care, and brings a hands-on approach to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

 

Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to: 

• Responsible for training, and development for all FOH hourly positions including bar and counter service.
• Leading the management team in directing staff and enforcing service standards. 
• Reinforce company standards at all times; including uniform, grooming, and timeliness of employees and management.
• Conduct and train management team on pre-shifts. 
• Ensure budgeted Restaurant sales goals per period are met or exceeded. 
• Floor management—responsibilities include frequent decision making and troubleshooting; maintaining proper flow of service; upholding service standards, product quality and cleanliness; continuous communication with kitchen and all Restaurant staff; guest interaction. 
• Restaurant is compliant with all Company policies and procedures. 
• Define and execute new restaurant initiatives and service protocols. 
• Oversee ordering and receiving of all product and goods for the Restaurant and ensure inventory numbers stay within targeted range. 
• Anticipate hiring needs and communicate to and work with Human Resources 
• Control and enforce restaurant’s rules and etiquette 
• Build your team and foster a good working environment 
• Be accessible, objective, fair, and be seen as an example to follow
• Ensure that everyday service is met and that all parts needed for services are in place 
• Make sure that the floor plan is maximized and efficient. 
• Lead all teams during service, so that dining experience is always met with Company’s standards.
• Maintain full ownership of payment accuracy by ensuring all POS transactions, cash handling, and tip reporting are properly recorded, supporting accurate and timely reporting and payroll processing.
• Constantly look to maximize covers, without hampering the quality of service 
• Work closely with BOH and maintain a constant communication so that all the restaurant and service need are met. Include BOH in all decisions that impact them. 
• Always look for strategies or avenues to increase sales and the quality of service.
