Assistant Project Manager

Christman Facility Solutions, LLC. Are searching for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Dallas, Texas region. This role is responsible for assisting and supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent in managing and coordinating construction activities throughout the Metro Dallas region. What You Will Do: Produce and organize project documents consistent with company and risk management standards so team members can readily access necessary documentation. Proactively prepare project documents for close‑out, turnover, and archiving to allow efficient final compilation and delivery on schedule. Secure all contractually required documents, including safety programs, MSDS documents, insurance policies, and supplier information prior to project commencement. Process close‑out of all subcontracts as work concludes. Administer project billing according to established contractual requirements, including timely receipt of waivers. Assist the Project Manager in reviewing and approving trade contractor’s materials and supplier invoices to be processed by accounting. Accurately summarize important discussions, questions, and decisions raised during regular project team meetings, owner meetings, and weekly subcontractor meetings. On a rolling basis, accurately identify and list items of incomplete work based on comparison of contract documents to work‑in‑place in each area and for each trade contractor. Manage punch list; partner with client and architect to establish punch list contents. Manage project change process from start to finish. Assist the Project Manager with identifying necessary inspections, create project‑specific inspection log according to Christman standards, establish relationships with inspectors, schedule inspections, and ensure readiness for inspection. Manage the RFI process and ensure that information is flowing timely to all parties. Organize and prioritize submittal requirements specified in contract documents and review for completeness. Create submittal log according to Christman standards. Review shop drawings and samples for compliance with contract documents, and manage architect submittal review process. Monitor quality of work and compliance with construction documents as assigned by the Superintendent. Travel Requirements Must have reliable transportation. Travel to and from the construction site is required; the majority of the work will be done at the site. Most of the travel will be local, but some long‑distance and overnight travel may be required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or other relevant coursework. Three (3) or more years of work experience in construction or a related field. Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience is acceptable.
