Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation/Trial Paralegal on behalf of a prestigious global law firm in Miami, FL.

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of experience to join its Trial Department and support a sophisticated litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on matters in both state and federal courts , as well as hands-on experience with depositions, discovery, hearings, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive paralegal support throughout all phases of complex litigation.
• Conduct legal and factual research to assist attorneys with drafting and revising pleadings, motions, court papers, and exhibits.
• Draft and revise routine legal documents for attorney review and approval.
• Prepare and coordinate discovery requests and responses.
• Review, organize, categorize, and analyze documents, reports, records, discovery responses, and information produced by opposing counsel.
• Assist with depositions and witness preparation , including preparing deposition materials and related exhibits.
• Prepare comprehensive materials for jury and non-jury trials , hearings, and other proceedings.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, evidence, witness materials, pleadings, and other case documents.
• Attend trials, hearings, depositions, and other proceedings as needed.
• Coordinate communications and requests among attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, and other parties involved in litigation.
• Maintain litigation calendars, including court dates, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and other critical dates.
• Schedule hearings and coordinate court reporters and other litigation-related services.
• Electronically file pleadings and other legal documents with State and Federal Courts, ADR forums, and administrative agencies .
• Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical case files.
• Accurately and timely record billable time and maintain appropriate billing records.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client and case information.
• Work closely with attorneys and administrative support staff while maintaining a strong team-oriented approach.
• Effectively prioritize and reprioritize assignments in response to changing deadlines and attorney needs.
• Work additional or irregular hours when necessary to meet trial, hearing, filing, or other critical litigation deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Litigation/Trial Paralegal.
• Demonstrated experience handling litigation matters in both state and federal courts .
• Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, filing requirements, and litigation practices.
• Hands-on experience with trial preparation, discovery, depositions, hearings, and witness preparation .
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a collaborative legal team.
• Strong client-service orientation and professionalism when communicating with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and outside parties.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office , including Word and Excel.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Relativity, Milana, iManage/Intapp or other legal technology and time-entry systems is preferred.
• Ability to quickly shift priorities and take ownership of assignments with minimal supervision.

Education

• Associate degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate with a concentration in Litigation preferred.
