NAPA Auto Parts is seeking an enthusiastic detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our rapidly growing team of Auto Parts professionals and support our Onsite Parts Management sector. Responsibilities Unpack incoming merchandise shipments from suppliers or returned by customers and place items on the shelf or appropriate location using the electronic scan-gun. Pull all orders for standard stock orders, special orders, and counter demands, routing products as appropriate and meeting prescribed picking quotas. Use the electronic scan-gun to review outbound orders for pulling accuracy, ensure safe packing for shipment, and properly label shipping trays/packages in accordance with D.O.T. standards. Create a detailed summary of each shipment using buck slips and/or freight bills, ensure proper end processing of customer orders, and place large parts and shipping trays on their designated skid location. Plan, organize, and load trucks from skids to trucks for delivery, accurately record piece counts on buck slips, and key freight bills into the computer terminal. Clean up and dispose boxes, packing material, and pallets; perform general housekeeping of the facility and specific product line areas; follow all safety rules, including handling hazardous materials. Qualifications At least 1 year of experience stocking, loading, or pulling. High School Diploma or equivalent experience required. Functionally literate with the ability to identify part numbers and line codes accurately and rapidly. Legible writing and basic computer operation skills. Perform associated duties as assigned by management. Capable of lifting and moving parts up to 60 pounds and push/pull 300 pounds using a hitch-and-go dolly. Move engine blocks and other heavy equipment with appropriate aids such as hand trucks, dollies, motorized carts, and pallet jacks. Repeatedly bend or stoop to ground-level shelves and reach upper shelves (up to 8 feet) using a stool or ladder when necessary. Must be able to work on their feet (stand or walk) for the duration of the shift. Starting hourly rate of $19 with progression to the top end of the range within 12 months of hire, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
