Working under the direction of the Practice Operations Director, you will manage a variety of administrative and clerical responsibilities while serving as a key point of contact between patients, providers, and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide front-line customer service by answering calls, routing messages, and coordinating communication between patients and the care teamRegister and check out patients, ensuring accurate entry of demographics, insurance, and patient information while collecting co-pays and balancesSupport clinical operations by processing referrals, prior authorizations, medical records requests, and diagnostic ordersManage provider schedules, including appointment booking, rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-up on no-shows while supporting team-based careRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior customer service experience required; medical office experience preferredAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferred SkillsProficiency in computer systems and electronic health recordsAbility to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressureFamiliarity with medical terminologyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriatelyAbout NVRH Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is located in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, in the Northeast Kingdom.
