Senior Bridge Engineer/ Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer/Project Manager to plan and manage engineering projects, develop client relationships, and lead structural design work for bridge, culvert, and highway/railway projects across Idaho, USA. The role focuses on delivering projects on schedule, managing budgets, and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single‑discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects. Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff. Independently coordinate the work of engineers and balance planning team throughout the entire project’s development. Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with the team to ensure completion within agreed parameters of schedule. Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice. Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure documents are completed on schedule. Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable‑stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects. Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development. Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs. Mentor younger staff and support continued development. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with engineering software packages such as PGSuper, SAP2000, CSiBridge, LARSA 4D, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB‑MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, or LUSAS. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 10 years related experience. A minimum 5 years of project management experience. Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (e.g., PE or P.Eng). MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be a plus).
