We are seeking an associate for our litigation practice group to handle general liability cases including commercial and umbrella policies involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, HOA, in a fast-paced and highly demanding atmosphere. Responsibilities Handling cases from preparing responsive pleadings to trial Propounding and responding to discovery Medical record review and summarization Conducting depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts Attend court hearings Prepare motions and oppositions Prepare case status reports to carriers Trial preparation Co-counsel at trial Qualifications Prior insurance defense experience preferred but not required Driven, self-starter, able to independently manage a caseload Strong litigation skills including discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation background New admittees encouraged to apply and can be a great fit Work well under strict deadlines Ability to multitask effectively Reliable and able to work a caseload independently under the supervision of a firm partner Willing to train the right individual Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills required Individuals wanting to take their career to the next level with a reputable trial firm welcomed to apply Salary Salary based on experience level #J-18808-Ljbffr
