Experience Non-Reg with at least 2-3 years of Histo (embedding/microtomy) experience will be considered Embedding, microtomy and IHC experience (preferred) Histology Technician, Histologist, HISTOTECHNICIAN, Histotechnician, Histo Technician, Histology Technician, histotechnician, Histotehnologist, Histotech, Histotechnologist, certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), histotechnology Requirements High School Diploma or GED 2-3 years of histotechnician experience preferred Why Join Us? Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for providing a variety of basic routine tests and procedures on tissue and related surgical specimens submitted for histological examination. Responsibilities Tasks limited to microtomy, embedding, staining. Performs and documents quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Understands maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of all instrumentation in assigned areas. Has minimal understanding of test principles.
