Phlebotomist/Processor

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join a fast-paced clinic environment. The ideal candidate will have prior pediatric experience and be confident working in a high-volume, high-mobility setting. Applicants must be able to move efficiently throughout the day, adapt quickly to changing demands, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Pay: Starting at $18 per hour, with flexibility based on experience Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 1pm Medical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts 401(k) with discretionary employer match Paid Time Off Free clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house In this role, you will be responsible for: Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service to patients and families, answering phones, and monitoring instrumentation alarms. Technical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening, with a focus on pediatric patients. Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information. Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity. Compliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance activities. Flexibility: Supporting clinic operations and assisting with coverage as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day workflow. Reliability: Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients. Education & Certification High school diploma or equivalent required Experience Must have pediatric phlebotomy experience Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with pediatric patients and their families Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy Highly organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively Physical Requirements: Laboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds. High level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs. Regular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield). Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day. Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed. OSHA Category: This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis‑B vaccination offered to all performing these duties. Hepatitis Vaccine Policy Employees will be counseled upon hire regarding the vaccination series. Upon the signing of the proper form, the employee will begin their series at the next scheduled vaccination day after hiring. The series will be administered by a nurse at a designated clinic or hospital. Documentation will be kept in the employee's permanent Personnel File. When necessary, the Medical Director will determine follow‑up protocol. Eligibility for Hepatitis Vaccine will be decided by the employee's supervisor based on potential exposure to blood or body fluids during job performance, such as phlebotomy, sample handling, testing, courier of specimens, direct patient contact/care, janitorial services.
