RN - Cath Lab

Cath Lab RN 3-12hr. shifts 0600-1830 + call with a 30 minute call-back requirement. STEMI CALL REQUIRED. Facility requires references - please send with submission. 2 years minimum experience. No 1st time travelers. Must be proficient in EPIC.

Patient Population: Adult Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory that performs invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular and structural heart procedures.

Call Required: Every 4th weekend and 1 or 2 days during the week.

Charting: Epic-Cupid for log documentation, GE Mac Lab for Hemodynamics (in Cath Lab), Phlips Xper for Hemodynamics (in Hybrid OR).

• Peripheral Angiography

• Atrial Septal Defect Closure/Patent Foramen Ovale Closure

Required Certs/Skills:

• ACLS

Preferred Certs/Skills:

Travel Requirements:

• 2 Years of Experience required to submit
• Valid State License - Must have CA license on hand at the time of submittal
• Perm address must be 50 miles from the facility
• Reference Required - 1 is required
• No local travelers are allowed; travelers permeant address must be over 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may float within hospital - Yes
• Background Checks: DUIs are generally allowed as long as there is not a pattern of them
• Former Eisenhower Medical Center employees must have been gone for 2 or more years to be able to return as a traveler
• Candidate should be flexible with scheduling, and any out of norm requests should be submitted with profile
• Only one extension is allowed and then the traveler must take the length of the original contract and extension combined off before being able to return to EMC as a traveler again
• Travelers may be called off OR placed on call once per pay period. If placed on call there is a 60 minute call back requirement
• Modules are billable, any modules assigned and completed during traveler's contracts are not billable
• 10 hours of modules required for the following Inpatient specialties: ICU RN, CVICU RN, MS/TELE RN, PCU RN, Dialysis RN, ER RN, NICU RN, L&D RN, Wound Care RN, Cath Lab RN, RRT, Case Manager, Infusion, LVN/LPM
• 8 hours of modules required for Surgical RNs: PreOp RN, PACU RN, Pain Management RN, OR RN, ENDO RN
• 6 hours of modules required for Allied specialties: OR Tech, GI Lab Tech, ENDO Tech, SPT, Anesthesia Tech, EP Tech, Cath Lab Tech, CVT, Scrub Tech, Radiology Tech
• Modules are completed pre-start and annually, and vary by specialty
• Modules are recorded via transcripts
