Kids Are Our Everything.Department10287 Family ServicesPay Range$73,195.20 - $121,971.20Shift - Night- Every Fri, every other Sat 10pm-8:30amWho We Are : The social workers within Family Services are specially trained and licensed professionals who provide an array of psychosocial services to enhance the quality of care our patients and families receive.About the Role : The Social Worker II fosters positive and professional interpersonal relationships with patients/families, physicians, hospital staff, community agency representatives and visitors, provides comprehensive psychosocial assessment for identified patients and based on findings, facilitates interventions. This is a part- time position covering the ED and inpatient units overnight. Social work provides support to families, crisis intervention, grief and loss support, referrals to child protection and law enforcement when appropriate, collaborates with teams to facilitate timely discharges. Strong teamwork and crisis intervention skills required, experience in a healthcare setting strongly desired.Minimum EducationMaster's degree in social work (Required)Minimum Work Experience3 years post MSW experience (Required)Required Skills/KnowledgeExcellent communication skills.Ability to relate to divergent patient populations.Sensitivity to individuals from varied backgrounds and cultures.Required Licenses and CertificationsInd. Clinical Social Worker Must be licensed in the District of Columbia at minimum at the LICSW-level. Must be licensed in MD and/or VA if social work services will be provided in those jurisdictions as part of the job requirements, including telemedicine.
