Accounting Manager

Overview Senior Principal, Recruiting @ The Virtual Bench | Full Life Cycle Recruiting. Our client is located in The Woodlands and looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team. The Accounting Manager will have strong Operational Accounting experience and a background in Logistics. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day routine accounting processes for the Supply Chain / Logistics function, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. This role is fully onsite. Key Responsibilities Lead the operational accounting team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Commercial Accounts Analyst Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures Oversee account reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities in accounting operations Develop and mentor staff, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development Assist with special projects, system implementations, or ERP upgrades as needed Oversee inventory controls Monthly reporting Cross training within the department Understanding of Administrative functions within team Collaborate with cross-functional teams Required Education and Experience Knowledge of logistics / supply chain operations Strong operational accounting knowledge 5+ years Operational Accounting Experience working in or supporting a supply chain / logistics function, preferably railcar Prior experience as a supervisor/manager required Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Supply Chain Industries Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage #J-18808-Ljbffr The Virtual Bench
