Products That Count is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead the organization into the future. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and growing an organization internally, and be at ease in the Product sector when interacting with corporate sponsors and individual professionals externally. The Managing Director will help shape and fully oversee the implementation of the organization’s $3-5m growth strategy which relies on corporate partners in the Product sector. 

Role: The Managing Director holds a full-time position and reports to the founder and Chair of the Board, SC Moatti. They lead strategy, fundraising and reserves for Products That Count and supports the Board Chair in preparing for Board meetings annually. The role manages the operations lead and corporate sponsors. 

Leadership and management responsibilities

• Lead and manage the organization under the direction of the Board Chair, to ensure consistent achievement of mission and financial objectives. This includes strategy, fundraising, reserve management as well as driving our bi-annual planning process.
• Drive fundraising strategy which is dependent on corporate sponsorship revenue sourced from employers or the network of the organization’s Board and Advisory Board members.
• Cultivate long-term relationships among potential and existing corporate sponsors and ensure that the operations lead is equipped to deliver corporate sponsorship benefits.
• Manage the CPO Committee of the Advisory Council, which includes all the CPO Awards winners and select nominees. 
• Ensure compliance with 501(c)3 rules - including but not limited to filing Form 990, taxes, and orchestrating an audit once annual revenue exceeds $2M
• Lead preparation for and attend board meetings, collaborating with the volunteer board to ensure they have the tools they need to be most effective. 
• Own the product roadmap and marketing strategy for the organization’s benefits, including positioning, packaging and pricing. 
• Build external brand and awareness so that our programs and efforts continue to develop and position Products That Count as the go to resource for everything product. 
• Occasionally serve as a spokesperson for the organization and represent Products That Count in the Product community along with the Board. 

Qualifications

• College degree and product leadership experience. 
• Previously built or scaled a community, professional network, media property, or membership organization.
• Ability to articulate a vision and close six-figure partnerships.
