At Bakersfield Post Acute, caring is our main concern. We are committed to maintaining high medical integrity, fostering teamwork, and creating a welcoming environment for our residents, families, and staff.We are currently seeking a **caring and compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)** to join our rehabilitation team.### **Position Summary**The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role supports the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services focused on improving functional mobility, strength, and independence for our residents.### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Treat patients as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist* Implement treatment plans to restore and maintain functional mobility* Document daily treatment notes and progress in accordance with state and facility standards* Communicate patient progress, concerns, and outcomes with the rehab and interdisciplinary team* Participate in care conferences as needed* Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized therapy department* Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and discharge planning* Comply with all federal, state, and facility regulations and policies### **Qualifications*** Graduate of an **accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program*** **Active California PTA license** in good standing* Current **BLS certification*** Demonstrated clinical competence and sound judgment* Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills* Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and staff* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team* Skilled nursing or geriatric experience preferred### **Work Environment / Setting*** Inpatient Skilled Nursing Facility* Long-Term Care* Short-Term Rehabilitation Center* Geriatric population* One facility location only### **Why Join Bakersfield Post Acute?*** Competitive PRN pay range* Supportive rehab and leadership team* Stable, well-respected skilled nursing facility* Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on resident outcomes### We are an equal opportunity employer.
