Certified Medical Assistant

Pride Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant II to join a team in Oklahoma City, OK 73104. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented healthcare professional with strong clinical support experience, patient care skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced pediatric specialty clinic environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care support including taking vital signs and patient history. Perform finger stick blood glucose testing and A1C collection. Assist providers with examinations and clinical procedures. Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, labeling, and processing. Manage patient phone calls while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette. Coordinate referrals, scheduling arrangements, and patient care services. Administer medications as directed by a physician or physician assistant (excluding narcotics). Reinforce patient education regarding medications, special diets, post-surgical care, and treatment plans. Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or GED. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar patient care role. One of the following certifications Medical Assistant – American Medical Technologists (AMT). Registered Medical Assistant – American Association of Medical Personnel. Registered Medical Assistant – American Allied Health. Certified Medical Assistant – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Certified Clinical Medical Assistant – National Health career Association. National Certified Medical Assistant – National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant – National Association for Health Professionals. Preferred: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
