Job Opportunity: Wellness Coordinator - Resident Services Department
Are you passionate about promoting health and wellness for older adults? Join our team as a Wellness Coordinator at Southminster (Independent Living) and The Leas (Assisted Living), where you’ll lead fitness programs, engage residents in physical activities (as well as 1:1 sessions), and ensure a safe, clean environment for all. This role is ideal for someone who is driven and motivated to support residents in leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize and lead individual and group exercise programs
Maintain resident fitness files and assessments
Oversee fitness area operations and equipment maintenance
Plan and coordinate physical activity events and health education programs
Collaborate with therapy and health staff to support residents' wellness goals
Coordinate outdoor activity spaces (bocce, shuffleboard, putting, etc.)
Plan and execute special wellness events like Active Aging Week and Heart Month
Manage budget and order necessary supplies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or related field, or
ACSM or NCCA-accredited certifications (e.g., ACE, NCSF), or
Experience in senior fitness and wellness is preferred
Passion for working with older adults and promoting healthy lifestyles
