Compensation: $150,000–$200,000 Base + Performance Bonus

Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Operations to help lead and scale a growing commercial equipment sales, service, and maintenance business generating approximately $15–$16 million in annual revenue.

This individual will serve as a key member of the leadership team, working directly with ownership to professionalize operations, implement systems, develop processes, and drive accountability throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, takes ownership of problems, and has the ability to turn ideas into execution.

This is an opportunity to become the operational leader of a growing business, with the potential to advance into a Chief Operating Officer role as the organization expands.

Key Priorities: First 6–12 Months

1. Implement a Service Management Platform

• Take ownership of implementing and rolling out an existing service management system.
• Transition service operations away from manual, paper-based processes.
• Train employees, establish clear workflows, and drive consistent adoption across the organization.

2. Build a Preventative Maintenance Program

• Develop standardized preventative maintenance contracts and operating procedures.
• Establish a repeatable process for selling, scheduling, and delivering maintenance services.
• Support the growth and professionalization of the service and parts business.

3. Implement a CRM System

• Support the selection and implementation of a company-wide CRM platform.
• Establish clear processes for customer information, sales activity, and internal coordination.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and consistently using the system.

4. Standardize Installation Project Management

• Develop repeatable processes for equipment installations, from initial site surveys through project completion.
• Establish checklists, scheduling procedures, and project closeout standards.
• Improve coordination among customers, technicians, contractors, manufacturers, and internal teams.

5. Lead Day-to-Day Operations

• Serve as a senior operational leader responsible for accountability and execution across the business.
• Resolve operational challenges, improve communication, and support department leaders.
• Take ownership of daily operational issues, allowing ownership to focus on sales, acquisitions, and long-term growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven leadership experience in operations, service management, project management, or a related field.
• Experience in equipment service, repair, maintenance, or field service operations strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to implement systems, build processes, and drive organizational change.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to hold teams accountable and solve problems independently.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn and implement new software platforms.
• High degree of integrity, ownership, initiative, and personal accountability.
• Military leadership experience is highly valued, particularly candidates with experience leading teams, managing complex operations, and executing under pressure.
• Must be able to work on-site in Neptune City, New Jersey.

• Base Salary: $150,000–$200,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
