This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care within a Level 1 trauma center that handles emergency, transplant, endovascular, trauma, and emergency craniotomy cases. The role requires active participation in multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure efficient patient care and operative procedures. Job Details Certifications, Education, and Experience: RN license required; BLS certified through the American Heart Association; minimum of 1 year of recent acute care RN experience in the specified specialty is preferred. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days from 07:00 to 19:00, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. Responsibilities: Involve the Operating Room multidisciplinary team in patient care planning, communicate, and coordinate activities to facilitate operative case progression and turnover. Willingness to float to all service lines including trauma and emergency cases is required. Certifications and Skills: Must have experience in neuro, orthopedic, transplant, and vascular surgeries, with emphasis on skills such as trauma, transplant, laparoscopic cases, and neuro procedures. Pass/Fail cardiac interpretation testing is required prior to start, with two attempts allowed to meet scoring criteria. Additional Requirements: Inpatient RN travelers must have at least two years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting for.
