Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse (RN) position located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care for critically ill neonates, including those requiring advanced diagnostic, surgical, and respiratory support. The RN will deliver patient-centered care in a Level IV NICU environment, supporting infants from admission through discharge.

Job Details

• Position: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN Madison, WI
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Friday, with 2-3 weekends per 6-week period
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), 2 years of total NICU experience including 1 year in a Level IV NICU, experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation modes, Epic experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, thermoregulation, and neonatal specialty procedures
• Additional Responsibilities: Provide care for neonates requiring complex medical and surgical treatments such as brain injuries, strokes, congenital heart disease, and metabolic disorders; manage ventilators, invasive lines, and other specialized equipment; support family-centered care in a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS; pass/fail testing with strict criteria including telemetry exam; candidates must pass adult and pediatric cardiac rhythm identification tests
• Experience requirement: Minimum of two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years in the relevant specialty
