Position Overview

The Pharmacist plays a crucial role in ensuring safe, optimal, and effective drug therapy for patients. They achieve this by reviewing, processing, and monitoring physician orders and patient medication profiles. As an active member of the healthcare team, the Pharmacist collaborates with other healthcare professionals as needed, always performing their duties in alignment with the hospital's mission and values.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate and verify CPOE medication orders as well as perform remote order entry.
• Ensure all pharmacy staff licenses are current.
• Serve as a staff pharmacist when necessary.
• Provide consultations to physicians and nurses.
• Offer clinical medication dosing services.
• Monitor patient profiles and lab values for optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Coordinate medication access in compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.

What You'll Bring

• License: Active and in-good-standing Texas Pharmacist License in combination with any of the following State Pharmacist's licenses; Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, and New Mexico. Must be willing to obtain 5 additional state licenses in the first 6 months of employment
• Education: Pharm. D.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical inpatient pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
• Screening: Must pass a background check, drug screen, and health screening

• Competitive pay: $55.70-$70.00 (depending on experience)
• Schedule: 7on/7off Thursday - Wednesday, 7pm - 5am (shift times may change)
