The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Registered Nurse at the Montana Mental Health and Nursing Care Center. The Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center (MMHNCC) in Lewistown is a licensed residential facility for the long-term care and treatment of persons who have mental disorders and who require a level of care not available in the community. The Registered Nurse (RN) performs professional nursing duties to promote and maintain physical health for resident's mental health nursing care facility. Responsibilities include: 1) Assesses, plans, implements, and documents nursing care for residents following accepted nursing standard practices; 2) Writes comprehensive care plans for each resident that include problems, interventions, and measurable goals; and 3) Serves as the Charge nurse to coordinate facility activities and provide overall management of facility in absence of supervisor. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity: -Knowledge of nursing, medications, and treatment planning. - Knowledge of patients' rights regarding medical treatment. - Ability to identify problems, develop and implement solutions. - Ability to remain calm when being confronted. - Establish and maintain effective working relationships. - Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Meet minimum qualifications: Current Montana State Registered Nurse (RN) License or RN License with a Multistate privilege in a Compact State. Preferred: Two years of professional nursing experience.
