Medical Assistant

Job Description


We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join a busy primary care team. This role is responsible for supporting providers with both clinical and administrative duties while delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working with a diverse patient population, including individuals receiving behavioral health services.


Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations
• Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical histories
• Assist providers during patient visits and examinations
• Administer vaccines according to provider orders and clinic protocols
• Perform EKGs as needed
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
• Provide compassionate, professional care to patients, including those with behavioral health needs
• Educate patients on basic health information and follow-up instructions
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
• Collaborate with providers and other healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient care

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate from an accredited program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Schedule/ Shift: Mon-Fri: 8:00am - 05:00pm
