Must Haves from Manager:

• An ideal person will likely have done application testing in government/government contracting roles.
• Be involved in core data validation, data quality, and testing support, particularly in the context of system migration and UAT activities and Power BI dashboards/reports.
• They should have SQL skills, some experience in relational databases and data warehouses (like Redshift) and ability to coordinate with DBA teams.
• Should have knowledge of data migrations/data integrations (from a data validation perspective, validating data pre- and post- migration)
• Fundamentals of data quality and data documentation are required (data dictionaries, cataloging, etc.)
• Bachelors & 6 years or if they have no degree they need 12 years of experience.

Job Description: Applications Engineer 3 – Testing Data Analyst

Seeking a Testing Data Analyst to provide user support for test and evaluation procedures. They will facilitate and execute functional test and evaluation procedures during the User Acceptance Testing phase. In this role you will also support a team with reporting, analytics, and data visualization activities that drive performance and quality of programs and projects across an IT delivery organization.

More About the Role:

• Support data analysis by creating and analyzing data from a legacy system to a new system.
• Ensure progress reports have all the datapoints needed.
• Ensure data standards to successful implementation into the FEMA program.
• Review tickets and check for trends and outliers.
• Ensure system configurations and connectivity is enabled in all FEMA systems.
• Conduct daily functional testing of different applications.
• Support the Database Administrator with tasks under their supervision.
• Support documentation of data dictionaries, data management, and cataloging practices.
• Identify defects and create proactive trouble tickets.
• Ensure manual submission reports are completed.
• Perform analysis through different systems.
• Analyze data reports to meet agency reporting requirements.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• Eligible for a FEMA EOD clearance
• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience; prior FEMA system experience is a plus
• Experience in IT operations trend analysis and common key performance indicators
• Demonstrated experience performing data analysis
• Expert in the use of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, macros, graphs, charts, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
