Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Location: Richland, Washington Type: Contract Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0

Overview

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and update 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Assist in mechanical design activities including part design, assembly modeling, and basic engineering calculations
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and supporting documentation
• Vault, manage, and maintain drawings and models within a Product Data Management system (e.g., PDM, Vault, or similar)
• Support engineering reviews, design changes, and configuration control processes
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and project alignment
• Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards, design practices, and documentation workflows

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
• Experience with AutoCAD 2020 or newer
• Experience with SolidWorks 2020 or newer, including part modeling and drafting
• Familiarity with product data management systems (such as SolidWorks PDM, Autodesk Vault, or similar)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
