As a Senior Accountant in Lafayette, you'll process invoices, track payments, and make the numbers behave. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including senior‑level responsibilities Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting and GAAP Experience with ERP/accounting systems Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Self‑starter with strong initiative and problem‑solving skills Highly self‑motivated and results‑oriented Strong sense of ownership and accountability Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent analytical and organizational skills Effective communicator with cross‑functional teams Responsibilities Fixed Assets Management Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, disposals, transfers, and depreciation Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger Ensure proper classification of capital expenditures in accordance with GAAP Manage monthly depreciation calculations and related journal entries Support physical inventory of fixed assets and asset tracking procedures Assist with capital expenditure budgeting and reporting General Accounting Prepare and post journal entries Perform monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities Benefits Competitive salary range Comprehensive benefits package Collaborative and growth‑oriented environment Opportunity to make a measurable impact within the Finance team Staffmark is an equal opportunity employer.
