Commercial Lines Account Manager Job Duties Advise clients on any coverage, billing, and claims questions as it pertains to their insurance program Prepare, complete, and submit applications to insurance carriers; develop proposals and provide technical support in coordination with Producer(s)/Agent(s) Responsible for follow-up with carriers and clients on various insurance program needs Review policies, endorsements and all documentation for accuracy and quality standards Assist clients with coverage changes, certificate requests, binders, and endorsements Responsible for existing client account review and renewal process including client contacts, remarketing, proposals, and any correspondence. Actively seek referrals from current clients and utilizes Applied Epic System to generate new business or cross sell new lines of coverage. Manage non-renewals and cancellation requests to retain business where appropriate Update policy changes on clients’ accounts in our system and advise insurance companies of these changes. Consult with clients to help process quotes and issue renewals or any updates needed to current policies Gather all documentation needed from the client for reporting a claim to the insurance company Meet regularly with agents and staff to keep up with industry standards, insurance products/coverages, and carrier changes. Work closely with insurance company underwriters, sales representatives, and account executives. Pre-qualify and analyzes prospective business clients according to agency standards. Negotiate with insurance carriers to obtain competitive rates for clients Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager Qualifications Active Property and Casualty insurance license in Texas or willing to get licensed in 90 days Strong customer service focus with a professional attitude and approach to business Must have very strong follow up, written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills Must have the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced team environment Insurance experience as an account manager or insurance agent is preferred but will provide training as needed Experience in a sales or service organization preferred. Knowledge of Applied Epic system is recommended but will provide training as needed Candidates should have basic computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.) Associates or bachelor’s degree recommended or insurance industry experience High School diploma required.
