About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: All available shifts Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular surgery License: Not required Certifications: BLS Certification (AHA) Must-Have: Experience in Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular surgery. Strong experience preferred, travel experience is a plus. No new travelers or new clinicians. Description: Common cases include cardiac surgery cases such as CABG, valve repair/replacement (open and robotic), ECMO, and transplant. Thoracic surgery includes robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures such as lung resection, VATS, esophagostomy (open and robotic), POEM, hiatal hernia repair, mediport placement, EGD, and stenting of GI and respiratory systems. Vascular surgery involves diagnostic angiography, percutaneous interventions, surgical endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair (open and endovascular), visceral arterial repair/intervention, and amputation. Clinicians will onboard for at least a week and may need to float within other services. Mandatory call is required, including one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month. Call response time is 30 minutes. Housing is available for call requirements if needed. Scrub color is ceil blue surgical scrubs, provided by the hospital.
