SR Operations Supervisor

Central Transport Central Transport is one of the nation's most trusted and technologically advanced Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carriers with a nationwide network of terminals. Operations Supervisor Location: 615 Miami Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66105 Hours: 12:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday – Friday (Outbound Shift) Responsibilities Oversee outbound operations for a 70‑door cross‑dock freight facility, including loading, forklift traffic management, and proper picking/sortation of palletized freight. Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet designated production schedules. Build loads based on available labor and freight levels, ensuring proper load balance with carrier cube and weight limits. Provide leadership and accountability to drivers, dock workers, and dock hands, monitoring production and KPI goals. Monitor hours, overtime, and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards. Ensure compliance with the company operational model and support a culture of quality for internal and external customers. Qualifications Experience in transportation, cross‑docking, or shipping and receiving environments, preferably within the LTL industry. Knowledge of customs and cross‑border transportation. Strong leadership qualities and excellent written and verbal communication skills. High aptitude for technology and the ability to multi‑task while remaining detail oriented. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
