Manufacturing Engineer I

Job Description
  • Researching, developing, and implementing solutions to improve efficiencies, safety, and employee retention.
  • Assisting and coordinating the implementation of design changes in the production setting.
  • Assisting with the definition and creation of assembly processes.
  • Consulting and assisting in the troubleshooting and resolution process as it applies to manufacturing processes and/or design issues.
  • Consulting and assisting with the development of procedures and equipment for manufacturing related testing and troubleshooting.
  • Researching and assisting in the implementation of tooling and fixtures as required for production.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs and capabilities as required.
  • Be responsible for runoff, delivery, and launch of new/re-tooled equipment to support new programs.
    • Execute processes and projects that continuously improve business outcomes aligned to corporate strategy, commitments, and goals (safety, quality, efficiency, delivery, etc.)
    • Maintain manufacturing data to monitor, measure, and improve processes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
    • Develop and maintain standard work procedures and best practices.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions to address production issues.
    • Lead and facilitate process improvement projects.
    • Provide support for new product development and introduction to ensure efficient and effective production processes.

  • Strong listening and communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to connect with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and facilitate multiple projects.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, as well as the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Cross-functional complex project management.
  • Self-motivation, willingness to learn & grow, and a strong work ethic is required.
Work Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, with additional on the job experience desired.
  • Manufacturing with lean principles.
  • Microsoft Office.
