Position: Staff Nurse II

Shift Details:

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description:

The Staff Nurse II provides professional nursing care for patients under the general direction of the Manager. This role involves using the nursing process to deliver individualized, safe, compassionate, and efficient care for a designated group of patients, demonstrating age-specific competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on information from various sources.
Supervise other nursing personnel, including staff nurses, vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and clinical support associates.

Requirements:

Current California RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience

Additional Qualifications:

Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Familiarity with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic
Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred
Travel experience is required

Unit and Patient Care Details:

Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adults
Number of Rooms: 10

Compliance Requirements:

Must complete required laboratory tests within 3-5 days of contract signing
7-year work history verification required
All compliance documents must be submitted 10 days prior to the start date

Onboarding and Training:

Orientation to include an average of 1-5 hours spent on non-billable modules
Module hours and content will vary by specialty
