Overview The Senior Specialist, Employee Connection & Listening reports to the Sr. Director, Employee Experience and plays a key role in shaping how employees connect, are heard, and are recognized at Scout. This role is responsible for designing and scaling programs, experiences, and systems that reinforce Scout’s values, ways of working, and employee connections across a growing, complex workforce. It blends thoughtful program design with hands-on execution—focusing on approaches that are intentional, scalable, and aligned to business priorities and brand. This includes helping Scout:
- Foster connection through community and shared experiences
- Enable belonging through participation and inclusion
- Listen to employee feedback and support meaningful action
- Recognize contributions and reinforce values in action
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: Employee Listening * Lead how Scout gathers, understands, and acts on employee feedback across the employee lifecycle. * Define and execute the approach to surveys, pulse checks, and qualitative listening, ensuring insights are continuous and actionable * Partner with People Analytics to translate complex, multi-source data and organizational context into clear insights and focused recommendations for senior leaders * Enable leaders to prioritize and act on feedback by translating insights into practical actions and areas of focus * Establish a consistent operating rhythm for listening, action planning, and follow-through, strengthening trust and transparency * Monitor and report on key engagement metrics, providing insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement Recognition Partner in the design and scale of recognition programs that reinforce Scout’s values, celebrate contributions, and make great work visible. * Partner in defining and evolving Scout’s recognition strategy as part of the overall Total Rewards philosophy, including how and when recognition is used to reinforce behaviors aligned to The Scout Way * Support and scale a recognition ecosystem that supports career milestones, team achievements, and everyday contributions * Create frameworks, leader playbooks, and multi-year plans that enable consistent, meaningful recognition across work styles (corporate, production, retail) * Support the implementation of a recognition platform to enable, simplify, and scale programs over time Inclusion & Belonging Design and enable systems that help employees connect, participate, and build a sense of belonging at Scout. * Support and scale Affinity Groups (ERGs), including charters, leadership models, and activation across locations and employee populations * Stand up informal, Teams-based social channels, including governance, intake processes, and ongoing moderation * Partner with Internal Communications to execute and evolve cultural and holiday observances, incorporating employee input and ensuring consistency * Build clear frameworks and guardrails that encourage participation while maintaining quality, alignment, and sustainability * Ensure programs are built to work across locations (two centers of gravity + hubs) and employee types (corporate, production, retail), adapting as needed while maintaining a cohesive experience Connection & Experiences Lead how Scout designs and delivers moments that bring people together—strengthening connection to each other, to leaders, and to the company. * Define and evolve a connection strategy for a multi-site organization, identifying the moments that most effectively build relationships and alignment * Design a scalable approach to in-person and shared experiences, including toolkits, standards, and vendor support for local execution * Deliver key moments that matter (e.g., Employee Appreciation Day, office openings, milestone events, holiday celebrations) with clarity and intention * Develop an intentional relocation experience for employees moving to Charlotte, focused on connection and integration * Enable employee-led events and local activation through clear processes, support models, and practical guardrails * Organize events, workshops, and training programs that reinforce company values and employee development Employee Experience Infrastructure Build the core systems that make employee experience consistent, accessible, and easy to navigate at scale. * Support development of tools and systems that enable a consistent, human-centered employee experience * Lead efforts to build a v1 employee hub (SharePoint) as a single source of truth for resources and self-service * Support the integration of AI-enabled tools and ticketing solutions that improve how employees get answers and support Location & Travel Expectations: * This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. * This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. * Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Here's what else you'll bring: * Bachelor's degree preferred; in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience * 8+ years of experience in Employee Experience, HR Programs, Organizational Development, or a related field, ideally in a growing or evolving organization * Experience designing and delivering employee programs or systems (e.g., listening, recognition, community, or engagement initiatives) from concept through execution for manufacturing and corporate populations * Demonstrated ability to translate employee feedback and data into clear insights and focused actions, especially in partnership with leaders * Strong program and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, sequence work, and manage tradeoffs * Proven ability to work through influence and partnership, navigating cross-functional collaboration and governance without direct authority * Clear, thoughtful communicator who can align stakeholders, set expectations, and move work forwardWHAT YOU'LL GAIN

PAY TRANSPARENCY
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
