Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (5th floor) of a 355-bed hospital
• Specialty focus on PCU, neuro medical strokes, neuro-ortho surgeries, and overflow telemetry and medical patients
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 20-bed unit with 5:1 patient ratios
• Uses Cerner EHR
• Common diagnoses include stable post-stroke, stable neuro surgery patients, telemetry patients, and medical patients
• 13-week assignment on 7p-7a night shift
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to Medical, Telemetry, and Neuro units
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to stable post-stroke and neuro surgery patients along with telemetry and medical patients
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• No previous permanent staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• Must start on one of the facility's designated orientation dates
