Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 or 48 hour weeks available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, with potential float to other Med Surg units based on facility need
• Care for a diverse patient population including medical, orthopedic/neurovascular, cardiopulmonary, and surgical patients (GI, urology, gynecological)
• Maintain a standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 on night shift, with LPN support when census requires adjustment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians
• Participate in facility orientation during the first two weeks of assignment
• Adhere to every-other-weekend scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); pending certification accepted with confirmed intent to obtain
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Willingness to float to other Med Surg units as needed (approximately once per week)
• Ability to work every other weekend as required
• Willingness to work collaboratively with varied clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, Techs)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Experience with orthopedic, neurovascular, cardiopulmonary, or surgical patient populations
• Familiarity with flexible scheduling in a high-census environment
