Senior Accounting Consultant

Client: Fintech Organization
Role: Senior Accounting Consultant
Pay Rate: $70-$80/hr

Duration: 3+ Months with the opportunity to extend!
Location: *Remote*

Job Description:
* Perform detailed review and reconciliation of intercompany balances across global entities.
* Research and resolve aged intercompany differences, unmatched transactions, and historical reconciling items.
* Partner with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and regional finance teams to validate balances and supporting documentation.
* Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as required.
* Investigate historical transactions and document root causes of discrepancies.
* Assist with intercompany settlements, confirmations, and account certification activities.
* Support month-end close activities related to intercompany accounting.
* Create standardized reconciliation templates and supporting schedules.
* Document accounting processes and recommendations to improve future intercompany controls.
* Support preparation of audit-ready documentation for intercompany balances and transactions. This aligns with responsibilities already outlined in CAO accounting roles regarding intercompany tracking, reconciliations, and settlement support.
