Director of Operations

Montshire Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a Director of Operations to join our team supporting our multi-location practices. We are a family-owned practice serving nearly 30,000 children across New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts. Our work centers on eliminating barriers to care so families can access the dental services they need. Our mission is to empower our team to use education, prevention, and compassion to deliver the highest quality of care in as many communities as possible. Why This Role Is Unique Direct influence on organizational growth and scalability across multiple locations, with the ability to build systems that reduce reliance on ownership Opportunity to shape and develop Practice Managers into strong operational leaders, creating long-term leadership stability across the organization High level of visibility and partnership with ownership, with meaningful input into operational strategy and expansion efforts How You’ll Bring Our Values to Life Each Day Lead and support Practice Managers across multiple locations, ensuring accountability for operational performance, team leadership, and patient experience Oversee daily operations, including scheduling efficiency, patient flow, and clinical support systems to ensure consistency and quality Own and monitor key performance indicators such as production, collections, patient growth, and expense management, and drive improvement through data-informed decisions Coach and develop Practice Managers in leadership, financial management, and team development, building a strong leadership bench across the organization Identify underperforming practices and implement clear, actionable improvement plans Develop and standardize systems, workflows, and SOPs to support operational consistency and scalability Partner with leadership and Finance to ensure practices meet financial goals and operate efficiently Promote a positive, patient-centered culture aligned with Montshire’s mission and values Support growth initiatives, including increasing patient access, optimizing provider utilization, and integrating new locations What Makes You a Great Fit Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field 5 or more years of experience in multi-site healthcare or dental operations leadership Proven experience leading managers and driving performance across multiple locations Strong understanding of operational metrics and financial drivers in a healthcare setting Ability to translate data into action and lead teams through change and improvement Experience developing leaders and building high-performing teams Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Preferred Experience in a dental group or multi-location healthcare organization Advanced degree in a related field Experience supporting organizational growth and scaling operations How We Invest In You The salary range for this position is aligned with market benchmarks for multi-site healthcare operations leadership.
