Clinical Manager – Sobering & Deflection Center

We're seeking an independently licensed Clinical Manager to provide leadership for a community-based Sobering & Deflection Center in Portland, Oregon. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a growing program focused on harm reduction, recovery, and person-centered care.

 

Position Overview

As the Clinical Manager, you'll oversee daily clinical operations while leading a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals, case managers, peer support specialists, and other clinical staff. You'll foster a collaborative, trauma-informed environment focused on stabilization, recovery, and positive community outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Sobering & Deflection Center.
• Supervise behavioral health clinicians, case managers, peer support specialists, and other clinical staff.
• Provide clinical supervision to assigned team members, as appropriate.
• Promote trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered care throughout the program.
• Support crisis intervention, clinical decision-making, and de-escalation in high-acuity situations.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, providers, EMS, hospitals, law enforcement, and community partners to coordinate care.
• Assist with staff onboarding, coaching, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
• Monitor documentation quality, regulatory compliance, and program performance.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, incident reviews, and operational planning.
• Foster a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for both clients and staff.

 

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Health, or a related field required.
• Active independent Oregon licensure required (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT).
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within behavioral health, crisis services, substance use treatment, or community-based programs strongly preferred.
• Experience working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and behavioral health crises.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction principles, crisis intervention, and recovery-oriented practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving clinical environment.

Pay Details: $72,000.00 to $81,000.00 per year
