Position: Cosmetic Tube Filling Operator
Pay Rate: $22.00–$25.00/hour
Location: Livermore, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM–1:30 PM or 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Start time will vary depending on the production schedule.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Cosmetic Tube Filling Operator to operate, monitor, clean, and perform basic troubleshooting on filling and packaging equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining efficient production while ensuring equipment, products, and processes meet established quality, safety, GMP, and SOP requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience in cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing and is comfortable working hands-on with filling and packaging equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor tube filling and packaging equipment while maintaining established production and quality standards.
• Monitor equipment performance to maximize throughput and production efficiency.
• Provide guidance to line personnel regarding proper equipment operation.
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and resolve minor operational issues when possible.
• Notify the Set-Up Supervisor of equipment failures, potential problems, or maintenance concerns.
• Disassemble and reassemble filling and packaging equipment as required.
• Set and verify lot/batch numbers and expiration dates according to customer orders and production requirements.
• Clean equipment according to established SOPs, including proper disassembly and reassembly within required timeframes.
• Prepare filling and packaging equipment for production in coordination with the Set-Up Supervisor.
• Set up and prepare components including nozzles, pistons, transfer pumps, and standby equipment prior to initial use.
• Maintain tools in a clean, organized condition and ensure unnecessary parts are removed from the work area.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.
• Follow all applicable GMP, SOP, quality, and safety requirements .
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, management, and personnel across departments.
• Maintain accountability and ownership of assigned equipment, tasks, and production responsibilities.
• Perform additional production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing preferred .
• Knowledge of personal care or cosmetic manufacturing processes preferred.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within a cosmetic, pharmaceutical, personal care, or similar regulated manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of filling and packaging equipment.
• Ability to perform minor equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Excellent verbal communication and basic written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and professional attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels of the organization.
• Dependable and able to consistently meet production and attendance expectations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive production tasks.
• Ability to safely disassemble, clean, assemble, and operate manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work around moving machinery and production equipment.
