PACCAR is dedicated to improving products and expanding market share by incorporating cutting-edge technology.PACCAR is seeking a motivated Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst in the External Reporting team. In this role, you'll focus on analyzing and compiling financial and non-financial information from multiple divisions to ensure complete and accurate reporting of the Company's financials to upper management and for compliance with SEC regulations. The chosen candidate will also have the opportunities to lead a rotating internal team of accounting professionals from various divisions in the preparation and filing of the Company's 10Q, 10K, 11K, Employee Benefit Plans, and other SEC documents. This person will also contribute to process improvements and assist with accounting policy updates, as needed.Job Functions/Responsibilities:Assist with the preparation and project management of the Company's SEC filings including 8-Ks, 10-Qs,10-Ks, annual reports and employee benefit plan financial statementsPerform peer analysis researchSupervise the quarterly and annual reporting team assistantsCoordinate with external auditors during the quarterly review process and annual auditResponsible for lessee accounting software maintenanceCoordinate and provide training as required to PACCAR locations on external reporting requirements or accounting policiesParticipate in documentation and performance of internal controls for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)Assist in technical GAAP / SEC research and preparation of position papersAssist with the adoption of new accounting pronouncements and develop/update related policy and proceduresAssist with future system upgrades and implementations as assignedVarious projects and special analysis as assignedThis role requires on-site presence five days per week, with no remote or hybrid option.Qualifications and Skills:Strong technical and analytical accounting skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.)Ability to work independently and self-motivated, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a team environmentExceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detailAbility to influence and work with employees at all levels of the organization.Position requires frequent coordination and negotiation with numerous groups from within and outside the company ranging from staff to vice president levelsAbility to work extended hours in office during the financial reporting quarterly and year-end process.Education/Experience Required:Bachelor's degree in AccountingCPA Certification or pursuit of CPA certificateMinimum 3+ years overall work experienceStrong working knowledge of SEC rules and regulationsPublic accounting and industry experience with multinational publicly traded company preferredActiveDisclosure or other financial reporting tool experience preferredSAP or other top tier consolidation software experience/knowledge preferredBenefits:401k with up to a 5% company matchFully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirementComprehensive paid time off – minimum of 10 paid vacation days (additional days are provided with additional seniority/years of service), 12 paid holidays, and sick timeTuition reimbursement for continued educationMedical, dental, and vision plans for you and your familyFlexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA)Paid short-and long-term disability programsLife and accidental death and dismemberment insuranceEAP services including wellness plans, estate planning, financial counseling and more
