Job Title: Travel RN - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: 2 years of emergency room experience Advanced skills in assisting with intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures Description: This position is for a travel RN in the emergency department. The schedule will consist of 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The unit has 39 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Staffing includes one unit secretary and 2-3 technicians on the floor. The following equipment is utilized: Crash Carts, Level One, Alaris Pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors. The documentation system in use is MediTech. Scheduling requires a 4-week schedule that is posted 2 weeks prior to the start date. It is preferred that candidates are available for three 12-hour shifts per week. The unit has a unique floating policy with an ER hold unit during capacity. Patient experience priorities include 30-60 minutes for patient rounding and a bedside shift report. Procedures performed in the unit include chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, laceration repairs, and blood product administration.
