Job Title: Travel RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Room License: Current RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: 2 years of Emergency Room experience Description: Travel RN position in the emergency room. Shifts are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Guaranteed hours are 48 per week. The unit has 39 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Staff includes one unit secretary and 2-3 techs. Equipment used includes crash carts, level one equipment, Alaris pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors. Documentation is completed using a specific documentation system. Scheduling is handled with a 4-week schedule posted two weeks prior to the start date. The policy allows for floating within the emergency room. Patient rounding is expected from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Candidates must be able to assist with intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures. Common procedures include chest tubes, moderate sedation, laceration repair, and blood products. Dress code requires black scrubs. Candidates should have strong multitasking skills and focus on throughput. Teamwork is essential in this role. The facility is committed to high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.
