Job Details Level: Experienced | Job Location: Fort Worth, TX 76114 | Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time | Education Level: Not Specified | Salary: $11.00 - $13.00 Hourly | Job Shift: Day | Job Category: Other Our Leader of the pack supervises our canine guests in an action-packed, fast-paced, play environment, focusing on each dog’s personality, fun and group safety. If you are focused on delivering 5-star service to our human and furry guests and looking out for their health, well-being, comfort, and overall happiness then this is the job for you. Responsibilities Actively oversee dog pack in social play environment, functioning as pack leader. Observe behavior and manage safety for all dogs. Create play groups based on dog personalities and play styles. Set up and close yard based on resort policies (sanitize, clean, scoop, break down pools, etc). Encourage beneficial interaction between pets and continually monitor pet activity, including actively playing with guests. Clean/sanitize all items at end of day or during day. Support philosophy of Best Friends Pet Care while collaborating constructively with a team. Treat clients, guests, and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner; greet all clients/guests encountered while performing duties. Report items in low supply to management. Follow all safe handling and day camp procedures. Qualifications Education High School Graduate or Equivalent Experience Minimum of 1-year dog handling experience. Physical Requirements Must be 18 years or older. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Must be able to be on feet for full shift. Must be able to stand, walk frequently. Must be able to bend, stoop and squat. Must be able to follow specific instructions. Must be able to multitask. Must be able to work on computer system and complete written reports. Must be able to handle dogs of all sizes on leashes. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with time deadlines for completion. Must be able to perform all tasks unsupervised as well as with team members. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectants/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions. Personal Traits Must possess a love of animals. Must be comfortable with animals jumping on you. Must be comfortable with and able to work around pet dander, bodily fluids, pet hair, etc. Displays a professional manner at all times.
