Make a difference in the lives of students by stepping in as a Substitute Paraprofessional or Educational Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role is designed to support classroom continuity by covering contractor call outs, ensuring that students continue to get the guidance and care they need. This opportunity offers per diem, on-site assignments with a daily schedule of 6.5 hours, and is located near Minneapolis, MN.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 1 year of experience working with school-aged children in a professional setting
• Two years of college credits from an accredited institution, OR an associate degree or higher, OR a passing score on an approved academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher), OR meeting competencies listed in the MDE-approved grid
• PCA certificate (or willingness to obtain—training is free and takes less than an hour)
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a genuine passion for assisting students with special needs
• Preferred: 2+ years experience as a school-based paraprofessional

Primary Responsibilities:

• Step in as a substitute in various educational settings to ensure students receive continuous support
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to deliver individualized support for students with varying needs
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Adapt quickly to new environments and build positive rapport with students and staff
• Uphold school district policies and protocols in every assignment
