This part-time contract opportunity near Minneapolis offers a structured yet flexible schedule and the rewarding chance to collaborate with dedicated educational professionals.

You’ll be working in a self-contained early childhood classroom setting with the support of two full-time paraeducators. Options for your workday include either Monday through Friday, 8:15 am–12:15 pm, or a schedule spanning Monday (8:15 am–4:15 pm), Wednesday (8:15 am–4:15 pm), and Tuesday (8:15 am–12:15 pm). Mondays are reserved for essential paperwork and team meetings, while you’ll also have a chance to occasionally float as a substitute within the ECSE program as needs arise. There is also potential for this position to expand into a full-time role.

Qualifications:

• Active Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education license required
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
• Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit
• Ability to adapt to diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Familiarity with IEP processes and best practices for early learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students in a self-contained special education setting
• Collaborate with paraeducators to ensure a supportive classroom environment
• Lead individualized instruction and adapt curriculum for diverse needs
• Participate in team meetings, complete required documentation, and develop IEPs
• Flexibly provide coverage as a substitute within the ECSE program
