Role Overview
Apply deep mathematical knowledge to review, generate, and improve advanced mathematical content that will be used to train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. Work remotely as an independent contractor to produce rigorous proofs, clear technical explanations, and annotated datasets that improve model reasoning and performance. No prior AI experience is required; domain expertise in mathematics is the priority.
Key Responsibilities- Review, evaluate, and generate solutions to advanced problems across pure and applied mathematics.
- Write detailed, well-structured explanations, formal proofs, and technical analyses for a range of mathematical topics.
- Assess accuracy, clarity, and rigor of mathematical outputs produced by automated systems, and provide actionable feedback.
- Create and annotate high-quality, domain-specific datasets to support model training and benchmarking.
- Document technical methods and communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and, when required, verbally.
- Collaborate with a remote team of subject matter experts across mathematical disciplines.
- Manage independent deliverables and timelines in a fully remote contractor engagement.
- Required skills: advanced mathematics, mathematical proof writing, technical report writing, data annotation, mathematical problem-solving, clarity in written and verbal communication, reviewing mathematical reasoning, ability to translate complex concepts for varied audiences, collaborative remote teamwork, and independent work and self-management.
- Preferred education: BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Preferred experience: authoring research papers, formal proofs, or technical reports; familiarity with current trends or open problems in mathematics; experience critiquing mathematical reasoning and computational solutions.
- Engagement type: Contractor.
- Location: Remote.
- Work expectations: Fully remote collaboration with other experts, independent management of assigned tasks and deliverables. No prior AI experience required to contribute.
- Rate: $20 to $40 per hour.
