Client Overview Our client is a small fashion company specializing in children’s apparel, with a focus on creative design and product development. They are hiring an Associate Designer - Children’s Apparel for their team. Salary/Hourly Rate $25/hr - $28/hr, Depending on experience Position Overview Our client is seeking an Associate Designer to support the design and development of children’s apparel. This is a full-time, onsite temporary opportunity for an initial period of 2+ months, with an ASAP start. The ideal candidate has 1 - 3 years of design experience and either previous children’s apparel experience or a strong interest in designing children’s products. Responsibilities Of The Associate Designer - Children’s Apparel
- Assist with the design and development of children’s apparel from concept through product development.
- Create concept sketches, mood boards, color palettes, graphics, technical drawings, and product presentations.
- Conduct trend research to support seasonal collections and design direction.
- Assist with sample reviews, design revisions, and product updates.
- Collaborate with the Design and Product Development teams to support the execution of collections.
- Help maintain design materials, product details, and presentation files.
- 1 - 3 years of apparel design experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong creative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to support multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and an interest in apparel design and development.
- Previous experience designing children’s apparel.
- Strong interest in children’s fashion and product development.
- Experience creating technical drawings, graphics, mood boards, and color palettes.
- Familiarity with sample reviews and the apparel development process.
- A degree or certificate in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience.
