This role helps ensure equipment is prepared, serviced, and staged efficiently so technicians can focus on skilled repairs.Key ResponsibilitiesShop Support & Equipment HandlingAssist with loading and unloading customer equipmentStage equipment for technicians with proper organization and readinessClean equipment before and after service to maintain shop standardsKeep work areas, yard, and shop clean and organized at all timesBasic Maintenance DutiesSharpen mower blades and cutting equipment as neededPerform routine maintenance such as:Oil changesSpark plug replacementAir filter checks and replacementAssist technicians with light mechanical work and simple repairsPerform basic equipment upkeep to ensure safe operationShop OperationsOrganize and maintain tools, parts, and suppliesAssist with parts handling, retrieval, and stockingMaintain shop cleanliness (sweeping, trash removal, organizing)Ensure all staging areas are orderly and efficient for workflowTeam SupportAssist Service Technicians and Service Writers with daily tasksFollow instructions and respond promptly to shop needsSupport team efficiency by preparing equipment and work areasQualificationsHigh school or equivalent preferredBasic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learnAbility to use hand tools and shop equipment safelyStrong attention to detail and organizationReliable, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move equipment up to 50–70 lbsAbility to stand, bend, and work in indoor/outdoor shop conditionsManual dexterity for handling tools and equipmentWork EnvironmentCombination of indoor shop and outdoor workExposure to noise, dust, and mechanical equipmentFast-paced, team-oriented service environmentKey Traits for SuccessPositive attitude and strong work ethicWillingness to learn and grow into a technician roleAbility to follow safety procedures and shop guidelinesTeam player with good communication skillsBenefits Benefits may vary based on full-time or part-time status and may include:Health & Dental InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Holidays401(k) with Company MatchEmployee DiscountsProfessional DevelopmentAdvancement OpportunitiesClosed on SundaysBuild Your Future With Us At Landscapers Supply, we're building more than stores and service departments — we're building careers.
