Search Solution Group is seeking an Account Executive on behalf of our client, a national freight and logistics provider. This role is essential in driving local market growth through new business development, customer relationship management, and territory-based sales efforts. The Account Executive will play a key role in expanding the company's footprint, increasing revenue, and ensuring top-tier service for local clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and develop new LTL business within the assigned territory.
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through consistent, service-driven relationship management.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales and revenue targets.
- Negotiate rates and solutions that create value for both customers and the organization.
- Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure on-time pickups, deliveries, and overall service quality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local clients, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Track sales activity, pipeline progress, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor capabilities, and evolving customer needs.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
- 2+ years of sales experience in freight, logistics, or transportation.
- LTL experience strongly preferred.
- Background working with regional/local carrier networks is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to independently manage a local territory and sales pipeline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics-related software.
- None required.
- Understanding of LTL freight operations, pricing structures, and carrier networks.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and territory-based sales processes.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Problem-solving capability and professionalism when working with customers.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments.
- Adaptability and responsiveness in a fast-paced logistics environment.
