Radiation Therapist II

Role Overview: This position involves applying imaging techniques and administering therapeutic radiation treatments for patients, primarily in cancer care. The technologist prepares patients, ensures accurate treatment delivery, monitors reactions, and maintains safety protocols. They assist with simulations, dosimetry, and equipment calibration, while documenting treatment data and maintaining a clean, organized department. The role requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work independently under moderate supervision. Qualifications & Skills: An associate’s degree in Radiologic Science, certification from AART, licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of radiation therapy experience are required. Preferred qualifications include three years of experience. Key skills include anatomical knowledge, excellent communication, attention to safety, problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork. Physical & Safety Requirements: Frequent standing, lifting, manual dexterity, and exposure to radiation and contagious diseases.
